Ashley Williams

Program Assistant

A natural team player, Ashley supports the success of the Community Investment & Impact team and the Foundation’s advocacy, capacity building and locally-focused work as a senior administrative assistant. She also provides backend support for strategic team conversations advancing health equity across the state.

Ashley joined the Foundation after more than five years in the nonprofit sector, occupying a range of administrative roles. Then and now, Ashley is an advocate for philanthropy to use its influence and impact to address systematic issues and advance social justice and health equity. Informed by her experiences growing up in a single-parent household in rural Colorado, she has a robust understanding of health and wellness and the economic barriers that exist for different peoples and populations seeking health care. She knows the importance of having tools and resources to navigate difficult situations and the impact that long-existing racial and social inequities have within rural communities.

A content introvert and self-described Hobbit, Ashley enjoys making her way through classic science fiction and fantasy series, like “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars.” A lifelong lover of dinosaurs, she loves learning about natural history and visiting the travelling exhibitions at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. She also loves to travel to experience new places and cultures, with Brazil and Greece topping her list of favorite destinations. Life is good for Ashley when her social battery is fully charged and she is surrounded by her friends and family.
